Sandwich like structure made of the conductive and insulating layer, used for two purposes firstly to provide mechanical support to electronic components so that they could be affixed at desired locations by the means of soldering and second is to provide electrical connection between the terminal of components, using conductive pathways, tracks or signal traces etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate.
